PBX-3CX-SBC-01 Session Boarder Controller For 3CX

The 3CX Session Boarder Controller is a physical item that is installed on the customer network. It acts as a proxy for users to help with signalling to the main PBX in the cloud. it is typically only needed when the user requires the hot desking facility on the Yealink phones. However it can also hlep solve firewall problems with some routers that do not allow the signalling from each phone to reach the PBX in the cloud or problematic ISPs that block ports. 

Therefore, in most cases, the SBC is only needed if the end client wants the hotdesking facility of the Yealink phones but can be used to solve problems with hard phones communicating with the cloud PBX where routers or the ISP is blocking SIP traffic.
