Introduction to Nice Home Management (ELAN) (Course Code: NSC-EMEA-ELA001)

Course Objectives:
The Introduction to Nice Home Management (ELAN) training is designed for anyone that is unfamiliar with Nice Home Management (ELAN) Control Systems and takes them on the start of their journey with Nice Home Management (ELAN).

The idea is that after attending this course you should be confident that Nice Home Management (ELAN) is the right solution for you and your customers and be ready to take the next steps on the training courses and implementing your demo/training system. 

This covers:

• Introduction to hardware
• Examples of programming in Configurator
• Nice Home Management (ELAN) Interface - default and custom

Certification:
This course does not have certification associated however completion of this course is required for admission into the Nice Home Management (ELAN) Certification Level I Course

Format:
This training course is delivered via instructor led live online classes. It will be 9am to 11am so you can carry on wth your day after the training.

Certification Training Level I (Course Code: NSC-EMEA-ELA002)

Course Objectives:
This course is designed to configure a basic system and gain an understanding of the Nice Home Management (ELAN) Configuration process and the Interface design for the Client. This will be delivered on a modular approach based on the selected sub-systems (see list)

Course Pre-requisites:
(Course Code: NSC-EMEA-ELA001) Introduction to Nice Home Management (ELAN) Series is a pre-requisite for this course

Duration
8 hours

Practical Modules:

• System – software update, configuration backup / restore, regional time settings and weather control
• Security – Z Wave Door Locks
• Climate – ELAN Thermostat addition and Scheduling
• Lighting – 3rd party lighting discovery & Keypad creation for the user interface
• Media – Addition of IR Controlled Sources, Displays (IR Driven Display) and Zone Controllers (ELAN IPD Multi-room Audio, ELAN AV Switchers & 3rd Party AVR Control)
• Video – Addition of ELAN Cameras, Doorstation and NVR
• Interface – Configuration of Interface Devices
• Event Maps – Creating basic automation scenarios based on the above system elements

Assessment
This will be a practical assessment on Nice Home Management (ELAN) SC Controllers. Progression onto subsequent training sections is dependent on completion of all sections of the current module

Certification
After successful completion of this course the trainee will be awarded the Nice Home Management (ELAN) Level I Programming Certification

Format
This training course is delivered as Day 1 of the hands on course at our training suite in Aylesbury.

Certification Training Level II (Course Code: NSC-EMEA-ELA002)

Course Objectives:
This course is designed to teach some of the more advanced features within Nice Home Management (ELAN). This will be delivered on a modular approach based on the selected sub-systems (see list)

Course Pre-requisites:
Completion of the Certification Training Level I is a pre-requisite for this course

Duration:
8 hours

Practical Modules:

• System – adding system extenders, renaming main tabs, custom tabs
• Lighting – Custom pages and customised scenes
• Media – Additional exercises for Smart TV, ARC, Audio Embedding, AVOIP
• Input / Output – Creating 1-way IR drivers for Media and serial control
• Event Maps – Advanced macro design. Variables and Booleans. Run Once / Repeating system timers

Assessment:
This will be a practical assessment on Nice Home Management (ELAN) SC Controllers. Progression onto subsequent training sections is dependent on completion of all sections of the current module

Certification:
After successful completion of this course the trainee will be awarded the ELAN Level II Programming Certification

Format:
This training course is delivered as Day 2 of the hands on course at our training suite in Aylesbury.
